There are many reasons to take action and many ways to do it.
Here are a few suggestions on how you can contribute to new public policies based upon greater justice and dignity for Ontarians marginalized by poverty.
Contact your Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP). Your elected official is accountable to you. Personal meetings are best, but letters and faxes and even emails are also effective. Feel free to use information found on this site, as well as the ISARC values, and anything else you find useful. You can contact ISARC at info@isarc.ca if you have any questions. MPP contact information can be found here.
Educate yourself on the issues. Over the years, ISARC has conducted a series of province-wide hearings and published a number of books. Lives Still in the Balance, is our latest offering and outlines a deepening crisis of poverty, hunger and homelessness in Ontario and what we can do. Order now.
Attend the ISARC Religious Leaders' Forum or the Multifaith Forum. Check back on this site at events for further details.
